Someday I Will...

Today, I am linking up with Taylor over at The Daily Tay for ‘Someday I will…’

Someday I will move out of the state of Florida. To a state with more seasons than just Summer and Love bug Season.

Someday I will go back to college and actually finish. Ok, I might not. But I want to. Can someone pay for me please? And take my math tests.

Someday I will get my daughters ears pierced. But I’m too chicken shit to do it right now. I don’t want them to hurt her. And the thought of having to make sure she doesn’t yank them out of her ears is a bit nauseating.

Someday I will actually make/do some of the things I pin on Pinterest. I’ve made a few and they all crashed and burned. Hammock in the house; yes please!

Someday I will learn how to cook. I guess that’s what happens when you marry a chef. But the fact that I set my microwave on fire making ramen noodles… well that’s just embarrassing. (Tip: ALWAYS put water in the bowl before you nuke the noodles.)

Someday I will actually wake up when my alarm goes off. I so badly want to be that mom/wife/person who is chipper at 5:30am, works out, cleans and puts dinner in the crockpot all before the rest of her family wakes up instead of the 7am ‘talk to me before I shower and die’ type of gal I’m currently rockin’ with.

Someday I will live debt free.

Someday I will NOT restart the dryer 37 times before I decide to actually take the laundry out and put it away. And to go along with this one…

Someday I will remember that I started a load of laundry instead of forgetting only to open the washer 4 days later and gag at the smell and have to rewash everything… 4 times.

Someday I will double check to make sure I am getting into MY car when I’m leaving daycare and not someone else’s who left their car unlocked. Oops!

& as always, I'll leave you with a picture of my girl.

Peek a boo!

Happy Halloween Eve, friends!

  1. How have they not yet invented dryers that folds clothes too?! I am constantly restarting the dryer too in hopes that they will just miraculously fold themselves. I'm a dreamer, what can I say LOL

  2. Jennifer,

Like you, I knew I wanted to have my daughter's ears pierced, but was chicken too. However, I kept seeing other babies and little girls with cute earrings and was conflicted. I asked our pediatrician. She encouraged me to go ahead before she aware of her surrounding or develops a pincer grip to play with her ears. She gave me some ideas how to find the right person, place and even some tips on picking out the right earrings for infants and some OTC meds to minimize any discomfort.

I'd say if you are thinking about it, then your mommy intuition is telling now is best as our ped told me. She said the best time to do it is when mommy can care for them.

If you or any moms are on the fence are looking for some research on the topic, then don't hesitate to write me an e-mail.
