An Inappropriately Large Donut Float & More Friday Favorites

It's finally Friday!
As per usual, I'm linking up with Heather from Housewife Glamour for another round of favorites from the week to share with you all!
And since there's FIVE of my favorite things today, I'll do a double linkup with The Farmers Wife as well ;)

not that I think this needs ANY explanation but how perfect would this be to float down the river or use at your communities pool, obviously with a beverage. It makes me hungry just LOOKING at it! & I think anywhere it made an appearance, it would be a hit!

I was picking up lunch from Target the other day and when I was checking out, I saw these drinks in the little refrigerators next to the registers. I was craving something refreshing so I grabbed this Lemon flavored Bai5 drink. The label intrigued me and I was anxious to try it out. Turns out, it was DELICIOUS! My friend got the mango (or was it the clementine? I can't remember) flavor and that was so good too!

//iwyp 'blogging is my cardio' shirt.
I love it, just love it. Never want to take it off. Enough said.

//abigail & these pictures
the other day, I was picking A up from school and one of her teachers said 'I hope you don't mind, but we had this bunny ears and they matched her outfit so we put them on her and we got THE CUTEST photos of her!'
Ummm, I wish it were Easter. Because these pictures might actually entice me to send out cards.
I die, they are so cute!
I love this girl!

& lets add a few more of Abigail, because well.. she's cute.

Pregnancy Confessions

Pregnancy Confessions.
This post is going to be exactly like what the title is.
I've enlisted the help of my sister and my best friend, Heather and they have provided my with their most ridiculous/embarrassing stories from when they were pregnant. I've also included my most ridiculous because it is WAY too good not to share.
--throwback pregnancy picture--

sister drives to the KFC drive-thru and places an order for FOUR biscuits and a side (what I can only presume was a size large, we didn't talk about that) of potato wedges.
sister parks car in parking lot and begins to devour all four biscuits and then entire order of potato wedges.
sister hides the evidence of said binge-fest.
sister decides that didn't quite do it.
sister drives BACK through the drive-thru and orders FOUR more biscuits.
sister eats all the biscuits.

-I know, I'm holding my head in shame FOR her. She isn't proud of it. And of course she is annoyingly thin now, 3 months post baby. Just typing the word biscuits, I gained 8 pounds.-

[[best friend]]
best friend wakes up one morning, desperately needing coffee.
best friend goes into the kitchen to make a cup only to find that her wonderful husband has already made her a big, fresh cup.
best friend begins to cry.
best friend tells husband that getting her that cup of coffee was the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for her.
best friend drinks coffee with tears running down her face.....into her coffee.

-side note: her husband does many, many things that are so, super nice. This was DEFINITELY not the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for her ;)-

I left work one day, got in my car & started driving towards the highway.
As I was driving I noticed that a cute little lizard had latched himself onto the side mirror of my car.
I was hesitant to hop on the highway due to the lizard, but I really didn't have a choice.
As I started picking up speed, this poor little lizard was hanging on for dear life, dangling in the wind until he finally gave up and let go.
I CRIED the ENTIRE 20 minute drive home & proceeded to call B to tell him the story, in hysterics.
I could see the sadness in the lizards eyes, begging me to stop driving.
At least my pregnant ass thought that's what I was looking at. I'm sure he was yelling 'WEEEEE!!!' the entire time.

OK, your turn! Tell me in the comments, whats one super ridiculous/embarrassing story that happened to you while you were pregnant?!
Excited to read them!

Linking up with A Blonde Ambition today! :)

Two Picture Tuesday

This is blurry.
It was clearly taken in the dish detergent aisle of Target (which I forgot to buy).
And it might be my new favorite picture.
Abigail was being the biggest brat in all the land on Saturday.
After telling her to sit down about 89374 times, I gave up and put her in the big section of the cart. And then she stood up some more. And then tried to climb out.
Just as I took my phone out to take a picture to send to Billy of his daughter (because at this point, I wasn't claiming her as my own)being a disaster, she SCREAMED/SHRIEKED at the top of her lungs, 'MOMMYYYYY!'. & I laughed..... hysterically.
She is my most favorite person ever!

This morning I got myself up to workout.
Even though I would rather have driven myself to the dentist for a 6am root canal.
I did it.
And I wore this shirt because I knew the rest of the day would consist of me complaining to anyone that would listen that 'I'm so tired!'.
Happy Tuesday!

Weekend Lookback

We didn't do much this weekend.
Our goal was to keep it pretty low-key and I think we did a good job of sticking to it.
Besides a quick trip to Panera for lunch with my family on Sunday, we didn't really leave the house at all.
We got a bunch of house projects done, rearranged Abigail's room, the playroom and the living room... because as you might remember from this post, I'm crazy.

The weather was delicious though, so we took advantage of that on Saturday before Billy had to leave for work.
We bought a blow up pool from Target's Summer Clearance sale and put it outside for A to play in (but not before we blew it up a few days prior and put all of her blankets and toys in it and let her play in the living room, in the pool ;). Thanks for the idea, Heather!).
She had a blast, and towards the end of our time outside, I jumped in the pool with all of my clothes on, and even got Sophie to join in on the fun, too :)

Now it's Sunday evening, it looks like the end of the world outside and the toddler Tornado has touched down in my house.. & i kind of love it ;)

[[linking up with Katie for MIMM]]

Hope your weekend was amazing!
Only 5 days until the next one ;)

sweet you rock & sweet you roll.

first things first;
you have until midnight tonight to enter my giveaway going on right now. You can find all the details by clicking here, or you can enter the RaffleCopter at the bottom of this post. Good Luck!
Moving on...
we had a great time at the show last night!
It wasn't the best setlist, and he totally forgot to play one of my favorite songs, but we did get to sing our faces off for the majority of the show and we got to hear a few songs that we hadn't heard live before. If you have never been to one of his shows or aren't a fan, part of the excitement is that he never plays the same setlist twice on his tour. No matter what though, we ALWAYS have a great time!

Fun Fact: Ever since we met, when Billy gets really into a song, he grabs my arm and 'plays guitar' on it.
See those little blurry blobs, that's the band.
As we were walking out of the ampitheater, Jimmy Johns sandwiches started flying around everywhere!
You know that scene in Kazaam (you know, the one with Shaq. Don't act like you haven't seen it) when all the cheeseburgers and pizza start falling from the sky, yeah it was something like that.

& while we were off playing, Abigail got to stay home with her grampy for a sleepover! I got these pictures the next morning and they made my heart burst with happys!
Not pictured: the photos of Abigail in the bathtub in all of her clothes because 'she liked it!'.
Can we also talk about how my dad knows how important it is to accessorize her hair?! I die.

Doing DAVE on a School Night.

I'm talking about going to see the Dave Matthews concert tonight, ya freaks! ;)
Billy and I have a lot of 'things'. Dave concerts are one of them. We have been going to them for the past 7 years (our entire relationship), minus the year Dave decided to abandon all of us and NOT tour. The nerve.
So, even though it is a Wednesday night and we have to drive all the way to Tampa to see him, we are doing it. And I'm sure, mildy regretting it tomorrow morning.
We even bought tickets with SEATS, like REAL grown ups! Hurry for not getting rained on. Because if you have been going to see Dave in Tampa for a while, you know that the seasons WORST rain/thunder storm is ALWAYS like night of Dave ;)
Here's to hoping I can stand to look at a computer screen long enough to recap our night for you tomorrow. hashtag hungover.

Our weekend in Pictures

This post was supposed to go up much, much earlier this morning and now we are rearing our heads into the early afternoon. Let me explain...
Last night was a DOOZY!
As I'm sure we all know by now, Abigail is a rockstar of a sleeper. Always has been. Last night though, she was not. She went to bed around 7pm and fell right to sleep. Out of nowhere about 20 minutes later, she was standing up and screaming in her crib. We went in, held her and put her back down. And she started screaming again. This went on for nearly 2 hours. Us going in, holding her, bringing her to the living room, letting her lay with us, putting her back down and then more screaming.
By about 9:30pm, I asked Billy to run a bath and I went into A's room and started stripping her down to nothing. Once I took her clothes off, I saw that she had a rash all over her body. So I sat on her floor while the bathtub was filling up, and held her. She finally calmed herself down, so calm in fact, she peed all over me. As I was sitting on the floor holding her, I looked up at Billy and said 'she's peeing all over me' and he said 'well get up and take her to the tub' and I think I responded with 'no, its ok. She's comfy.'
Yes folks, I let me kid pee all over me. It's ok ;)
Her and I both got in the bathtub and I held her until Billy was done getting her clean. We wrapped her like a burrito and then got her into some new, comfy pjs and she ended up falling asleep around 10:30pm.
When she woke up this morning, we were convinced something was wrong, because she never acts like that, so we took her to the walk-in portion of her pediatrician's office.
Abigail HATES the doctor. The minute we walk in, she starts screaming because she knows whats ahead. She won't even sit on the scale to be weighed. I have to physically lay on top of her in order for the doctor to check her ears and her throat. It's a total shitshow.
But sure enough, without showing us ANY signs, homegirl has an ear infection. And they aren't concerned about the little red bumps all over her.
So while I had grand plans to have this post written last night and scheduled to go live first thing this morning... Abigail ran the show and decided she didn't want that to happen ;)
But I'm here now and I'm going to talk to you about our weekend (in as few words as I can possibly get away with).
Here we go...
We painted our toes on Friday night during dinner.

I got to FaceTime with 3 of my most favorite people in the world.

We took a roadtrip to see some family on Saturday morning.

We stopped for coffee and donuts.
Abigail slept.
& gave her cousin kisses and hugs.

I helped my nephew, Nathan yank out his first tooth.
(& I'm pretty sure I own him like $75 and ice cream for dinner for the next month because of it.)
And Sunday I ended up taking ZERO pictures. But we were having a family fun day at a park with all of the General Managers in Billy's district of his restaurant. We played volleyball, did team building exercises (aka Billy was blindfolded and I had to guide him through an obstacle course using only directional words. Don't worry, we are still married.. but it was a close one!)  and Abigail was the only kid there so she obviously got lots of love ;)

Brunette Ambition - Book Review & Giveaway

Disclaimer: Although I received this book free of charge from Blogging for Books, I was not obligated to write a positive review. All options expressed are my own.

Early last week, Blogging for Books sent me Lea Michele's new book Brunette Ambition to do a review! I have been looking forward to reading this book, since I'm a big fan of Lea! I was so excited to dive right into it!

If you don't already know, Lea Michele is currently the star of the hit show Glee and also just released Louder, her debut solo album. In addition, she wrote a lifestyle book called Brunette Ambition which was released in May of 2014.

In short, this is a book dedicated to showing off Lea's beauty, diet, fitness and lifestyle tips & tricks. She begins with sharing a bit of her childhood and how she got into the business that she is in. She highlights each major role that she has had along the way and shares many personal photos for everyone to enjoy. She makes it very clear that she has worked extremely hard to get to where she is today.

In later chapters, she shares some of her beauty tips, including recipes for natural face masks and hair treatments, which she uses herself. One thing that I loved about the book and what Lea shared was that she really emphasized on taking some time to yourself whenever possible whether it be taking a relaxing bubble bath and binge watching crappy TV, just to take some time for you.

Lea makes it very clear that she knows that she is privileged to live the life that she does as far as having personal trainers and a traveling hair and makeup team at her beck and call, however she also makes everything so relatable with her suggestions and tips.

This girl also has QUITE the sense of humor! She talks about some of her favorite moments she's had and tells her audience that when she was given the opportunity to perform at the White House, she used the restroom and stole White House toilet paper!

This book is an easy read (it only took me 2 hours!) and if you like any sort of 'girly self-help' books, you will LOVE this one! And if you are anything like me, you will read the whole book and then re-read it again to take notes on all of your favorite tips and tricks! ;)

Blogging for Books was nice enough to send me an extra copy of Brunette Ambition to give away to one of you!

All you need to do it enter the RaffleCopter below.
And remember, all entries are verified.

Day in our Life

Excited to be joining Blonde Ambition for this fun linkup today!

My day started around 3:27am when I woke up out of a dead sleep, to a completely DEAD LEG. I don't know what woke up me or why my ENTIRE (i'm talking hip to toes) leg was completely asleep, but it happened and it was awful. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to touch or move the 'asleep' body part until after it has its cirrculation back, it freaks me out. So I sat in bed for a good 10 minutes before I realized I wasn't going to have to go get it amputated. I'm not entirely sure how it happened, since I was asleep on my back & my legs were out straight but I would prefer it to never happen again.
My alarm went off at 5:30am and I snoozed it until 5:48am until I decided it was really time to get up if I planned to get a workout in. So I rolled both my working legs out of my perfectly comfortable bed and threw my sneakers on.

I was on the ellipcial for about 40 minutes when I saw the door opening and this girl walked through the door (with dad in tow, she doesn't just climb out of her crib and take strolls around the house, she's only one! ).
(Sorry it's so blurry, I was trying not to break my stride on the elliptical while snapping photos)

After a few texts with my best friend showing off that we both woke up to work out, I was done with my hour of cardio and off to my Keurig. Yes, that is the worlds biggest cup & its delightful!

Last night, as I was filling the bathtub to wash Abigail down, I realzied that she hadn't pooped all day... and just KNEW that if I put her in the tub, it was going to happen. And no part of me was interested in cleaning up a poop-filled tub last night, so we skipped the bath & she got one this morning :)

By 7:34am (only running 9 minutes behind!!), I was showered, clothed, made up and walking out the door with my girl & another round of caffeine. - Side note: it was PJ day at school ;)

Billy always loads A into the car while I load all 17 bags I take, plus myself and my coffee cup. On this particular morning, Abigail decided that she wanted no part of being strapped into her car seat and threw the worlds biggest hissy fit. Don't worry baby, one day you'll read this and laugh, just like we laughed at you this morning. #keepingitreal

After our 20 minute drive to daycare, I dropped her off for breakfast and to hang out with all of her friends for the day :)

I drove myself to work, got out of the car, stared at the building, debated whether or not I was actually going to go in (kidding, kind of) and was getting myself settled into my desk by 8:30am (OR if you are my boss and are reading this, it was 8am SHARP!). I made myself a turkey sausage, egg, and chesse English Muffin with a plum on the side and browsed all of the news on the web for a few minutes before busting out my daily planning sheets that I made to keep myself nice and organized. I jotted down all of the things that I needed/wanted to get accomplished for the day and got to work.

From about 9-12pm things get a little boring. I'm busy working and this is pretty much my view, with an occasional trip to the bathroom here and there.
Billy closes on Thursday nights, which means when I leave the house in the morning, I won't see him again until the next day. It stinks, so we try to go to lunch together on Thursdays as much as possible. Today was no different. He picked me up for lunch around 12:30pm and we headed off to eat our weight in chips & queso at Tijuana Flats.

3:30pm hit and I had to stop my forehead from hitting my keyboard, so I got up and made myself a cup of tea. If you are keeping track, that's numero three for the day. I'm also so delierious at this point, I drew myself a sticky note just to remind me of how tired I am. #help
This is the point of the day in Florida where the sky turns black and the end of the world appears to be rearing its ugly head outside. I hope and pray that this only lasts for the next hour and a half because picking a toddler up from daycare in the pouring rain is a receipe for a drowned rat diaster.
  Yay! It's 4:45pm 5pm!
I took the short drive to Abigail's school & we took stoplight selfies on the way home ;)

We always stop at the mailbox (we don't have one in front of our house, it's a community one) and today it was an extra fun mail day! We got this package that I ordered from IWYP by: Whitney Ellen and it was shiney & perfect! More to come on this later.

Abigail played while I got the house cleaned up & her dinner together. We just got these fun magnetic letters that she loves to pull off & push underneath the fridge.
My favorite area of my kitchen, especially when it's clean ;)

Abigail goes to bed freakishly early. Like 6:30pm early. Most of the time I'm super bummed at her early bedtime because I want her to stay up and play with me but tonight, I was thankful to get a little mama time in after she went down.
In this case, mama time means ice cream for dinner & pretty little liars on dvr.

The couch is where I'll be for the rest of the night.

& there is a look at a day in our lives!
Hope you enjoyed it!
