another weekend post.

If we pretend it isn't actually Monday, can we all go back to laying on our couches and drinking mimosas & call it Sunday again!?
We had a great, pretty low-key weekend over here!
Here's a look:
We woke up bright and early Saturday morning to get some MUCH needed yard work done. We re-mulched, mowed and gave ourselves a little flower garden. Abigail was along for every step of the process & loved it!
Side note: Let's all thank Billy for his impeccable driving skills since you almost didn't get to see any of these photos. During our time outside, I set my phone on the hood of his car...flash forward an hour or two and we ran out of mulch so he and my dad got in his car and drove to Home Depot for more. Five minutes later, I realized I left my brand new phone where I did and started panicking! They were already at Home Depot but my phone was safely lodged in between his hood and the plastic little bug shield. I am officially the luckiest moron on the planet.

After a serious nap & daddy leaving for work, Abigail and I headed over to my parents house to make good on a promise my dad made to this one.
The pool was absolutely freezing, but she doesn't care! She is a total water baby!
Billy was off on Sunday so we decided to use our Zoo passes and go hang out with the monkeys and goats ;)
We got there 4 minutes after they opened, which is really the only way to do it. The place gets really busy and we wanted to do a few things we weren't able to do last time, like play on the playground and the splash pad!
These two... swooning!
By the time we made our way over to the water, there were a lot of big kids horsing around. Abigail held her own though and totally loved splashing around in the water. This place is going to be a staple as it continues to get hellish-ly hot here.
After the zoo, we decided Abigail was in a good enough mood to drag her to brunch. Which turned out to be a delicious decision. Mama had three too many mimosas and ended up nice and toasty by 11:45am. We went home where I proceeded to pass the eff out for the next 3 hours and I felt like I was rocking a hangover for the rest of the day. Womp, womp.
After naps and a Target run, we took Abigail to get some fro-yo to celebrate some serious potty training accomplishments (we're almost there!)!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
& an even better Monday!

April StitchFix! (#3)

Happy Tuesday guys!
I received my 3rd StitchFix last week and can't wait to share it with you!
Don't know what I'm talking about?!
- StitchFix is a subscription box (how often you receive it is totally up to you!) that sends you 5 items (clothes & accessories)  based on a personal style profile that you fill out when you sign up.

- Once you receive your box, you try on all your items, decide what you want to keep, throw the times you don't love in the provided return shipping envelope and pop it in the mailbox. From there, you log into your account and fill out the feedback survey and declare which items you are keeping.

- StitchFix has a monthly styling fee of $20. If you chose to keep any of the items in the box, the $20 is put towards the cost of the items! If you chose to keep all of the items in your box, you receive a 25% discount on all times! plus your $20 styling fee!
If you love it as much as I do, you can sign up to get your own box by clicking here (<-- affiliate link)!
So, lets get down to business, shall we? This is what I received this month!
Papermoon - Holden Scoop Neck Blouse - $38
Mavi - Aiden Distressed Skinny Jean - $118
I thought I was going to love this shirt, but truthfully I didn't. I don't know what it is (actually, I think I do) but shirts in this material are so tight in my back/shoulder area. Billy so kindly pointed out that my chest and my shirt size might not be matching up.
The pants, oh these pants. I loved these pants so much! They fit perfect, they felt great.. I loved them! The only thing I didn't like was the price. There was no way I could justify spending that much on one pair of jeans. I would have instant buyers remorse and wouldn't enjoy wearing them. It definitely made me sad to send them back.

Fun2Fun - Topson Crochet Detail Blouse - $38
Margaret M - Emer High Waisted Cropped Trouser - $98
When I put this shirt on, something seemed off. It felt lopsided on me, like the seams weren't even or something. It's hard to explain but it wasn't comfortable. I'm not sure if I just got a bum shirt, or if that is the way it is supposed to be, but either way, I wasn't digging it. Also, white & a toddler do not jive together.
I asked my stylist for a pair of black work pants and she definitely delivered! I loved these pants. They had an elastic band as opposed to a zipper and button and what girl wouldn't love that!? The two reasons I didn't keep them were (again) the price and the fact that I had found the PERFECT pair of black work pants at Old Navy the night before.

Renee C - Cheli Striped Maxi Dress - $68
The length of this dress was weird to me. Maybe it's the style and I'm just not with the 'in' crowd these days, but it wasn't quite full length but it wasn't knee length either. It cut off at my ankles. Is that weird to anyone else!? Anyways, besides that the material wasn't for me. But that's just my body type. Clingy things don't work well with my mama hips ;)

My overall thoughts:
I specifically asked my stylist this month to send me a pair of work pants, a pair of distressed skinny jeans and springy tops. And she totally nailed it! Even though I didn't end up keeping any of my items this month, when I opened up my box I was SUPER happy with it!
I sent a note to my stylist for next month that I would like a cardigan to cover up summer shirts at work, some spring tops and less expensive bottoms. So we'll see how she does!
Side note: StitchFix has THE VERY BEST customer service! I had a problem with the shirt that I kept from my fix last month, and it was fixed within a day! They were so nice and helpful! Is there anything better than good customer service?!
So, does this sound like something you're interested in trying out!? If so, click here and get your first fix scheduled! And then come back and let me know how you like it!

Our (jam packed) Weekend.

We had a jam packed weekend and I can't believe it is already over!
We are exhausted, dishelved and probably still a little hungover. It happens ;)
Saturday was my niece's 1st birthday party and we celebrated with a Minnie's Bow-tique bash (which makes the next photos a bit confusing) and all the kiddos had an absolute blast!
These 3 cousins became inseperable all weekend ;)
There was a facepainter at the party and this little one sat so nicely the whole time (with the help of Nathan coaching her through it) to get a pretty butterfly painted on her face! This was towards the end when the fairy dust was being applied ;)
& then Elsa and Olaf showed up to a Minnie Mouse party (it's a long story, ha!) Equal parts adults & children were totally freaked out by them, but it was hysterical.
(Yes, my eyes look closed, but they aren't)

Have you ever seen a prettier butterfly?!
One of my aunts won't be able to make Abigail's second birthday party in a couple weeks so she brought her a gift to open to Addison's party and it was this beautiful snow white dress. Abigail is SO into dressing up right now, it was perfect! And I think her smile tells you how much she loves it!
After the party started winding down, Billy and I had to jet off to Orlando (while my parents had a sleepover with Abigail.. thanks mom & dad!) for a wedding!
We ended up being super pressed for time and had to get ready for the wedding in a total of 6 minutes. I just kept telling Billy how lucky he was to have married a low-maintence wife ;)
The reason we were so pressed for time was because Billy was playing and singing our friends, the bride & groom, first dance song! We had to get to the venue before everyone else to set up his equipment and make sure everything sounded perfect! And it did! He did such a great job and I was a super proud wife! You can see the video here or here :)
We had such a good time at the wedding! Partied way too much and quickly realized the next morning that we are NOT 21 years old anymore. Yikes!
Congrats Jessica & Anddye!
We ended up without a car at the hotel the next morning due to taking the provided shuttle back from the venue (high five for being responsible drunks!). I quickly downloaded the Uber app on my phone and within minutes I had a car waiting in the hotel lobby for us! It was about a 20 minute drive and cost us a whopping $11! I highly, highly recommend it if you are in need of a ride!
Once we got home and picked up our baby girl, we came home to put her down for a nap and Billy & I decided to sweat out our hangovers with some yardwork. It was only bearable because I was listening to the Serial podcast while edging and pulling weeds. Y'all its so good! Listen to it if you haven't yet! I only have two episodes left!
After naptime & a shower, we quickly realized that we had ZERO edible items in our refridgerator, so I threw on my hangover outfit and we hit the grocery store.
Except Abigail decided she wanted to be a (cute) pain in the ass and scream the whole time, for fun. We ended up just throwing a bunch of stuff in our cart and hightailing it out of there. We were supposed to go to Sam's Club as well, but Abigail was not in acceptable form to be in public.
We holed up in the house for the rest of the day and these two lounged on the couch walking Animal Planet for hours. Every now and then she would look up at him and tell him what animals were on TV. Be still my heart.
Girl couldn't even keep her head up to draw.
Bedtime was near.
We had my parents over for burgers on the grill for dinner and then crawled into bed at 8:30pm.
Wild ones.
I (thankfully) work from home on Monday's so I am spending today in my pjs, checking emails, running reports and writing addresses on Abigail's birthday invitations on my breaks ;)
Enjoy your Monday, friends!

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday, friends!
I'm so happy to see this weekend show it's face. It's going to be a fun one! Birthday parties, weddings, an overnight babysitter & Billy home all weekend! I'm not sure how it could get any better! But before I add the salt to my margarita, let's get to the few things that I am absolutely loving this week!

As always, linking up with Heather at Life in Leggings for Friday Favorites!

Am I the only person who uses dry shampoo only to have their hair look even more greasy?! I have struggled with this for years! I know it's terrible for your head, but I am famous for having to wash my hair everyday. I just can't get away with dirty hair without looking like Johnny Depp on a good day. Until I found this dry shampoo! Trust me when I tell you, I have tried so many and this one BLOWS them all out of the water! Now I only wash my hair 3 times a week (which is HUGE for me!) and I love the way my hair looks styled with this stuff! Buy it, and then come back and thank me ;)

I recently became a seller for Doterra essential oils. I haven't mentioned it on the blog for a couple of reasons. One, I still don't know what I'm doing on the business end of things. Two, I'm so new with essential oils, I can't really give advice. However, I can tell you that their Past Tense roll on blend is an absolute lifesaver when it comes to headaches (which I suffer from a lot). I ordered this after reading some reviews and absolutely love it! You roll it on your neck and temples and take a minute to breathe it in and it relieves headache tension and stresses in no time! I've turned a few people from work onto it as well as my mom!
Next up is something that I couldn't snap a picture of because once I order it, I eat it faster than I can take out my camera. I'm talking about the Egg White, Spinach and Turkey Sausage Power sandwich from Panera. It's so good y'all and its almost embarrassing how many times I eat one a week.
We are always on the lookout for healthy snacks to throw in the diaper bag for Abigail. 9 times out of 10 I have SOME sort of food item stashed away in my purse or bag for emergencies or when we don't go right home after school pickup. On our last trip to Sam's Club, we saw a box of these Nature's Bakery Fig Bars and couldn't get them in our cart fast enough. Abigail loves them (so do we!) and I think they are a better alternative to the Nutra-Grain bars we usually have on hand.

& to round out todays favorites, our entertainment lifesaver lately are these puzzles. 'Do you want to do puzzles?!' is a common question around our house when we are trying to get something done, like the dishes or pee without company. They hold Abigail's attention, the pieces are big enough for her little fingers to pick up and they are all adorable!

That's going to do it for me today. I'll leave you with a picture of Abigail because it just feels weird to write a post without her face plastered on it somewhere ;)

Have a great weekend! See ya Monday!

Life Lately.

I'm doing a little catch up on the blog today.
I was looking back and realized I had a ton of photos that I hadn't put up here yet, and since this is a way to document our lives, to eventually show Abigail one day, I wanted to dump them in a post.
I have no real weekend recap for you this week but plan on starting fresh next week. Until then, here's a look at some random events from the past couple of weeks :)
Billy & I had a date night a couple weeks ago and while we were out, one of our very favorite sitters came over to watch Abigail. She took this photo and it's quite possibly my favorite photo ever!
I never got a chance (forgot, actually) to post about our egg dyeing adventures for Easter! We bought two kits from Target which were a complete bust, so I dug out our watercolor paints and we went to town. Abigail was totally into it ;)
Billy has been working a lot of long hours and Abigail & I have been spending A LOT of one on one time together. I love it, but it's also completely exhausting. Bathtime is easily one of my favorite parts of the day. It means bedtime is near and it is when things really start to calm down for the both of us. Abigail usually soaks until she is pruney and loves to help wash her hair. She sings songs and splashes and we talk about what her favorite parts of the day were. I cherish these moments. And cherish her little head hitting the pillow even more ;)
Countertop jam sessions happen on the regular in the Huff household.
A few weeks ago my parents invited and got tickets for myself, Billy, my sister and brother-in-law to an annual event held in our hometown called The Taste of Lake Mary.
The event, put of by The Rotary Club of Lake Mary brings all of the most delicious restaurants out to one area and all of the attendees walk around and eat & drink until we can't walk anymore ;)
We did just that and had a total blast!
The other night, Abigail wouldn't go to sleep. Everytime I put her down in her crib, she stood right back up screaming. So we stayed up until daddy got home. She cuddled on the couch and watched tv for what seemed like hours. As we were both going a little crazy and getting way too tired, she looked up at me, grabbed both of my cheeks with her little hands, looked me square in the eyes and said 'look at me mama. I love you!' This kid I tell ya... she gets me.
More skinny dipping. She is a water baby, through and through.
Abigail and I went for a really long walk on Saturday. I just discovered the 'Serial' podcasts and I am totally obsessed. If you haven't started it, you must!
Anyways, while we were walking, A broke her only pair of shoes that fit her. So later on that afternoon, we went shoe shopping with Nanna!
We found these ones and couldn't pass them up! We also came home with a pair of pink converse because, well pink converse.
She shares our love of shoes ;)
We woke up on Sunday and decided it was the perfect day to finally sit down and watch Frozen for the first time. Yup, we hadn't seen it! Abigail isn't much for sitting and watching TV, but I know she enjoyed some of it ;) And she is offically obsessed with Olaf. Better late than never!

And yesterday.... yesterday my baby girl started preschool. We hyped her up about it, telling her how much fun she was going to have, even if mama was freaking out on the inside. I honestly thought she was going to meltdown when we dropped her off in the morning but of course, she proved me wrong. We got to her class, she ran towards a play car and waved bye to us like she'd been doing it for years.

Ok friends, I'm taking the rest of the week off from blogging and I'll be back on Friday for Friday Favorites! See ya then!

Graze [[+ a FREE box!]]

Who wants FREE snacks?!
((I'm forgoing my usual 'Friday Favorites' post for one GIANT favorite today! But head on over to Heather's page to check out everyone else's favorites from this week!))
I received my very first Graze box this week and I am totally and completely in LOVE!
Graze (<-- affiliate link) is a subscription service that sends you 4 different snacks to try on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis!
If you use the link above (or click here), upon signing up, you will receive your 1st AND 5th box 100% free! After that, it is only $6.99 per box!
The thing I love about this service is that, after signing up, you can go onto their site, look at ALL of the snacks they have to offer (which is a TON) and rate them! If it includes something that you don't enjoy eating (for me, it was anything that included cinnamon), I simply checked it as something I wouldn't like to receive!
The box comes with 4 different compartments for 4 different individually wrapped snacks and for the first month, mine came with a small bag of popcorn kernels to pop!
The snacks included in these boxes are the perfect size for a mid day munch. So much so that a lot of customers have the boxes shipped directly to their work offices!
Again, if you're interested in trying it out, click here for your first and fifth boxes FREE!

Easter 2015

Happy 5 days AFTER Easter!
Better late than ever, right? Sorry I'm coming to you guys so late, my sweet baby gave me the plague and I've been knocked on my ass for the past week.
I've only been into my office once this week so far and I've already gone through a bottle of Nyquil. Daycare germs don't mess around, y'all!
Anyways, I have a lot of catching up to do, so why not start with our Easter! I'm going to keep it short and sweet and let the pictures do most of the talking...
Abigail was totally spoiled by the Easter bunny due to a mommy/daddy drunken shopping spree at Target one night last week. Whoops!
((We filled her baskets with new slippers, bubbles, cookie cutters, stamps and some outside play toys!))
Billy had to work on Easter, so we set up a small (12 eggs) hunt in our front living room for Abigail to wake up to and so he could be a part of it. We didn't know how she would react (she was too small for it last year) but she was TOTALLY into it! She did such a good job and was so excited finding each and every egg!
After Billy went to work, Abigail and I walked over to my parents house for more Easter Bunny goodies and another egg hunt!
My brother is an Easter baby and his birthday always falls either on or around the holiday. This year, it was the day before. Due to work schedules, we decided we would skip Easter dinner and do his Birthday dinner instead! He chose Kobe Japanese Steakhouse :) YUM!
& the best part, Billy surprised me and came home SUPER early (4pm!)!
My momma & I
(we don't look anything alike, huh?) ;)
My family and I have been to Kobe more times than I can even count but this visit, without a doubt was the ABSOLUTE best. I think it was a combination of the company, the chef and just all being in really great moods (read also: drinking fiery volcanos and fruity concoctions), but I don't think we have laughed more or had a better time in all the years we have been going!
Happy Birthday, Matt!
